Little Elm

66 miles of the Town of Little Elm’s corporate town limits are shoreline of Lewisville Lake in Denton County, offering the opportunity for many of its residents to enjoy a view of the lake from their homes and all of the recreation activities that the lake has to offer. Though the neighborhoods have grown and population has dramatically increased, growth has been managed to retain that feeling of a nostalgic community of yesteryear. Three school districts serve Little Elm residents. Little Elm ISD serves most of the original parts of the town and is one of the fasting growing districts in Denton County. Frisco ISDs serves the FM 423 corridor and east Little Elm, and Denton ISD serves the 380 corridor.

Strategic investments in the future of the community include the development of new parks and expansion of the existing extensive trail system as well as preservation of the prized open spaces that keep Little Elm as beautiful as it has always been. The town has earned a number of acknowledgements for its commitment to urban forestry initiatives. Trend-setting city planning and growth initiatives have also earned Little Elm some impressive accolades, including being named the second safest city in the nation and safest city in Texas by the FBI.

The Town is home to a growing business community ranging from small and major retailers to high tech, medical manufacturing. While 5 minute access to the Dallas North Tollway and other major thoroughfares link Little Elm to the surrounding region’s major city centers, Little Elms is also committed to opportunities to attract additional businesses to the area to create more work choices close to home. Little Elm also enjoys a rich variety of cultural offerings including an expanded public library, recreation center, senior center, live music at its shoreline amphitheatre, and a variety of seasonal festivals and events.
